Style
Trishna Patnaik blends expressionism and abstraction to create a vivid portrait that transcends realism. The face is stylized and emotive, emerging from a swirling background of watercolor chaos in bold, saturated hues. The brushwork is fluid, raw, and intuitive, capturing inner emotion through outer color. This approach reflects a contemporary figurative style with strong psychological undertones, focusing on mood, identity, and introspection rather than technical detail.

Inner Narrative Of This Artwork
-
‘FACES’ as a concept is not just vague but VERY vague. But how can we be so sure or are we so sure at all? We would like to see a face in everything, anything without a face is illusionary, imaginary, absurd....so on and definitely not meaningful! So, are we saying only if we have a face to something it gets some amount of character or it is meaningful? Now that’s debatable, isn’t it? Keeping ‘FACES’ as a concept, Trishna Patnaik has created some paintings using various mediums and several expressions.
